Funding at First Steps Together
At First Steps Together, we are dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for all our students. Ensuring that every child receives the tailored resources and opportunities they need to thrive is at the heart of what we do. Here's an overview of how our funding works and how it supports our mission.
How We Are Funded
As an independent specialist school, our funding primarily comes through Local Authorities (LAs) via Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). The EHCP process identifies the specific needs of each young person and allocates funding to meet those needs. This funding enables us to provide the individualised support, therapies, and resources our students require to succeed.
We also work collaboratively with families, schools, and various agencies to ensure funding is utilised effectively and transparently. Every resource is allocated with the goal of maximising outcomes for our students and preparing them for a bright and independent future.
How We Use Our Funding
Our funding supports a wide range of initiatives and services, including:
Additional Support and Donations
While core funding ensures we meet essential needs, we are always striving to go above and beyond for our students. Donations and additional support from generous individuals, businesses, and organisations help us enrich our provision and expand opportunities for our young people. Contributions allow us to invest in extracurricular activities, enhanced facilities, and new programs that empower our students to dream big and achieve more.
